  1. The severity of lameness and pain on palpation was measured by the veterinary surgeon on two different 5-point scales at each clinical visit. No dog was scored 4 (extreme lameness / pain) at neither scale at any timepoint. The number and percentage of dogs for each severity class are here detailed
