Schedule of vaccination and experimental NE induction in broiler chickens. Birds were immunized orally on days 3, 4, and 5. The second dose of vaccine was given on days 13, 14, and 15, with a boost immunization on days 21, 22, and 23. Serum samples were collected before each immunization, and also 8 and 13 days after the last immunization. Gross examination of the small intestine was carried out 1 day after the challenge experiment. The individual body weights were measured on days 24, 29, and 34 (), at 5-day intervals
