ORO staining of cryosections of healthy (A, C) and pyometra affected (B, D) canine endometrium. Positive signals were observed in the surface epithelium of the healthy and diseased endometrium. No lipid droplets were detected by ORO staining in the uterine glands of healthy samples (C); however, strong signals were present in dilated glands and crypts in pyometra sections.
