Comparison of UAldo:C among neuter status in H + B1 group. IF: intact females; IM: intact males; NF: neutered females; NM: neutered males. Intact females (n = 19; median 3.47 IQR 2.64–8.83) showed significantly higher UAldo:C than IM (n = 29; median 1.36 IQR 0.61–4.47), NF (n = 31; median 1.96 IQR 0.87–2.93) (P values < 0.05) and NM (n = 15; median 1.08 IQR 0.67–1.75) (P value ≤0.01). No significant differences were detected in UAldo:C between any other group pairs
