mRNA expression of key genes implicated in matrix remodeling in the necrotic and salvaged myocardium isolated after 90-min of ischemia without reperfusion. The gene expression of connective tissue growth factor (CTGF, a), tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases (TIMP)1 (b), TIMP2 (c), and TIMP3 (d) as well as fibronectin (FN, E) and laminin (LAMB, F) was determined in the necrotic and salvaged myocardium from the 90-min of ischemia without reperfusion group and was compared to control group. Data (mean ± SD, n ≥ 5) were analysed by one-way ANOVA analysis followed by Bonferroni test. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01 vs. control group
