Table 3 Results of the ID Screen® ELISA and the BIO K302 ELISA as performed by the six laboratories each testing the same 180 serum samples. The mean of the two duplicate runs was used to categorise the sample as seropositive or seronegative using a cut-off for the S/P coefficient suggested by the manufacturer together with the kit (≥ 60% for the ID Screen® ELISA, and > 37% for the BIO K302 ELISA). Serum samples originated from cattle populations where M. bovis is known to be prevalent (the high-prevalence area: Finland, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom) and from a cattle population which was considered highly unlikely to have been exposed to M. bovis (the low-prevalence area: northern Sweden)
