Microscopic observations of Eimeria spp. oocysts incubated with different numbers of M. guilliermondii 01 cells. After 24 h of incubation, damage to the oocyst wall is evident, and at 48 h, the damage is even greater, with cellular debris present. Control oocysts remain intact at the same incubation times. Cells of M. guilliermondii can be observed in the background. An OD600 of 1.0 corresponds 2.72 × 106 CFUs, and an OD600 of 1.4 corresponds 6.72 × 106 CFUs. Arrows indicate damaged oocysts.
