Indirect immunofluorescent staining of Mycoplasma mycoides subsp. mycoides ( Mmm ) bound to bovine lung epithelial cells (BoLEC). A shows BoLEC without Mmm stained with anti-Mmm (Afade) + anti-rabbit FITC and counter stained with DAPI. B shows BoLEC with adherent Mmm stained with anti-Mmm (Afade) + anti-rabbit FITC and counter stained without DAPI. The arrow indicates bright fluorescent patches of Mycoplasma clusters on the surface of an epithelial cell.
