Total systemic exposure of animal to serum acute phase proteins. Serum concentrations of serum acute phase proteins over time were converted to ng/mL and the area under the curve was calculated using the trapezoidal rule. Data for each analyte are reported as AUC0-96 hr and plotted on log-linear graph. Area under the curve of serum Hp-MMP 9 was significantly lower than all 3 other serum acute phase proteins (p < 0.01) when evaluated using Kruskal-Wallis, 1 way ANOVA on ranks with Dunn's multiple comparison test. There was no significant difference between total serum Hp and SAA over the time course of analysis and both SAA and Hp had significantly lower exposure in comparison to the areas observed for AGP. Differences in the letters over bars indicate significant differences between AUC for each analyte.
