  1. After termination 10 animals from each group were analysed for wound strength and the remaining animals for histology. At obduction, special attention was paid to signs of anastomotic leakage. P-values denote significant differences between each carprofen group and the corresponding buprenorphine group (Fisher’s two-sided test).
