Estimated number of surviving ear-notched dogs each month since the intervention began using an annual survival of 0.70. - Each ear-notched dog was assumed to have an equal chance of survival following release. An annual survival estimate of 0.7 was used from a previous study also conducted in Jaipur [11]. Hence for each month since the ABC project started the number of ear-notched dogs estimated to still be alive at that time was calculated and is shown in the graph.
