The Editors of BMC Veterinary Research are pleased to announce the launch of three new sections:
- Anesthesiology and pain management
- Head and neck disorders
- Soft tissue surgery and dentistry
All three sections are now welcoming submissions.
Anesthesiology and pain management
Section led by Prof. Lysa Posner
The anesthesiology and pain management section considers submissions covering all areas of anesthesia and analgesia in all animals, including companion, laboratory, and zoo animals. Articles concerning basic science, the pathophysiology of disease and its relation to anesthetic management, intensive care, anesthetic equipment and monitoring, chemical restraint of animals, and the welfare implications of animals in pain or distress, are also considered.
Head and neck disorders
The head and neck disorders section considers research describing the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of veterinary disorders of the head and neck, including ear, nose and throat (ENT) disorders and dentistry. Research describing the anatomy of the head and neck and imaging are also considered.
Soft tissue surgery
The soft tissue surgery section considers submissions demonstrating advances in soft tissue surgery, reconstructive surgery, and wound care and healing. This section also considers research describing the application of advanced surgical techniques and technologies in veterinary clinical practice, such as minimally invasive surgery.
