Biomarker Expression. A) Five biomarkers for pluripotency, differentiation and expansion were measured via rtPCR. The ΔCT values, normalized to the housekeeping gene Gapdh, showed relatively high expression of pluripotent and expansion markers, Gata6, Sox2 and Sox17. * indicates a statistically significant difference between the reproductive tissue compared to the other two groups. # indicates statistically significant differences between the subcutaneous enzymatically-digested fat and the other two groups. B) Examples of amplicons with single bands of the anticipated sizes are shown. The original gels are provided in Supplemental Figure 1.
