  1. Plasma levels of lactate, lactate-dehydrogenase and creatine-kinase were measured at the different time points (P Pre-ischaemia, I Ischaemia, R Reperfusion) in horses belonging to a control group (group C) and a group subjected postconditioning (group IPoC). The values are expressed as absolute value as mmol/l, and as percentage compared to the pre-ischaemia time point. There were no significant differences between the groups. Significant differences within the groups compared to the pre-ischaemia time point are marked with an asterisk (* p < 0.05; ** p < 0.01)
