No cellular staining was observed but unspecific staining of epidermis, sebaceous and sweat glands, and hair follicles, was noted. An additional blocking step of the endogenous biotin was added to the protocol and limited the unspecific staining. The technique used the avidin-biotin-alkaline phosphatase method with Harris hematoxylin counter stain (× 200)
