35SO4-labeled GAG in cartilage treated with different concentrations of PL. No significant effect was observed for the effect of concentration (P:0.2972). However, the 35SO4-labeled GAG observed in cartilage treated with PL, had numerically higher values compared to the controls, especially for the 3-fold concentration, which presented the highest 35SO4-labeled GAG value, but still not statistically significant when compared to ITS media control (P:0.078). The lack of statistical difference could be explained by the high variability between the horses. Values are represented as means (DPM/μg of DNA), and bars represent standard errors of the mean.
