Protein abundance of claudin-1, occludin, and ZO-1 in the colonic epithelium of goats in the LC, HC, and SH groups. The abundance of claudin-1 and ZO-1 proteins in the HC group significantly decreased compared with that in the LC group, while the levels in the SH group were not significantly altered. The results are expressed as fold changes relative to those in the LC group (mean ± SEM). * indicates P < 0.05 and ** indicates P < 0.01 vs the LC; # indicates P < 0.05 compared with the HC. A statistically significant difference has a P value < 0.05
