  1. Basal plasma values of estradiol (E2), LH and FSH are the average of two separate basal measurements at t = −40 and t = 0 min. All measured plasma values that indicate absence of functional ovarian tissue are displayed as bold text, based on previously published cut-off values (see Table 1). None of the values are consistent with the existence of functional ovarian tissue (see Table 1 for cut-off values). aThe basal FSH of dog nr. 13 is below cut-off value which in this case was caused by a short time interval between surgery and GnRH stimulation test (see discussion section)
