Compared with the sound animal, the ellipse in the lame pony is asymmetrically displaced to the left side due to the body COP being shifted to the left more frequently than to the right side. In addition, the area of the ellipse is much greater (3.12 mm2 in the sound pony vs. 91.46 in the lame pony)
