Relative quantities of RNA extracted from blood and urine specimens from canine patients with normal bladder, lower urinary tract disease (LUTD), and transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) of the bladder. Statistically significant differences in the quantity of RNA isolated from blood specimens (a) or urine specimens (b) from the 3 patient groups were not observed. However, there was a statistically significant difference in the quantity of RNA isolated from blood versus urine from patients with normal bladders (p = 0.0001). No statistically significant difference was observed in quantity of RNA isolated from blood versus urine from patients with LUTD, or patients with TCC. Standard ANOVA was used for these comparisons
