  1. LVIDd was significantly increased in dogs in group S compared with dogs in group H (p = 0.0304) and with dogs in group M (p = 0.0304). LVIDad was increased in group S compared with group H (p = 0.0304). M-mode-derived EDVI was significantly increased in dogs in group S compared with dogs in group H (p = 0.0304). The ratio of left atrial to aorta root was significantly increased in dogs in group S than in group M (p = 0.0304) and group H (p = 0.0304). No statistically significant difference was found in the LVIDs, LVIDas, ESVI (M-mode), ESVI and EDVI (2-D) FS% and EF% (M-mode and 2-D) among the groups
