^aThe analysis was performed on 179 Girgentana, 102 Rossa Mediterranea, 80 Argentata dell’Etna and 143 Maltese. For the presence of K222 variant we used Chi-square test with a significant level of p ≤ 0.05 in Girgentana, Rossa Mediterranea and Argentata dell’Etna. In Maltese we used Fisher exact test with a significance level of P ≤ 0.05
