The comparison of RIS with simple Gaussian noise using the functional data obtained with sequence 1 showed a significant contrast for the right medial geniculate nucleus (arrow 1), which is displayed in the dorsal (a) and the transverse (b) plane. In addition to this, small activations can be seen in the images without spatial relation to any known structures of the auditory system (arrows 2, 3)
