ASA concentrations in the synovial fluid of the fetlock joint in the isolated perfused equine distal limb after imitated systemic administration of 20 mg/kg ASA. Synovial fluid concentrations were measured using microdialysis and HPLC and are given as mean ± S.E.M of 6 (tyrode perfusion) or 2 (hemoperfusion) independent experiments. ASA EC50 values for COX I and COX II (Buntenkötter, 2012) are indicated to assess the anti-inflammatory effect of the synovial concentrations.
