The median duration of infection for 22 quarters in the treatment groups (dashed line) estimated to be 93 days was less than the 256 day median duration of infection estimate for 16 quarters in the control groups (solid line) demonstrating a reduction (log rank test p=0.0025) in duration of infection in the groups of cows receiving the intervention.
