N = number of cases, CMS = canine mammary sarcoma, Vim = vimentin, CK = cytokeratin, α-SMA = alpha smooth muscle actin, Des = desmin. The number of immunoreactive cells was classified as: - = none; ± = slight (positive cells constituted less than 10%); + = moderate (10-50% of cells were positive); and ++ = intense (more than 50% of cells were positive).
