  1. The percentage of binucleate cells and those in prophase or metaphase (P/M), or anaphase/telophase (A/T) was calculated from counts of 1000 fibroblasts in ~80% confluent fibroblast monolayers. Values for each parameter in tendon-derived monolayers could not be related to horse age or source. Data from fibroblasts derived from non equine (human Hs68) or equine non tendon (palate) tissue sources are included for comparison.
