  1. There were 9963, 8979 and 8580 samples respectively from the 114 herds visited once, 102 visited twice and 96 visited three times. An additional 1,135 samples were collected when four whole herd visits replaced the routine third visit (i.e. extra samples taken from young stock < 2 years).
