Table 2 Results from 100 pooled samples consisting of assumes Salmonella-free faeces. Assumed salmonella-free faecal samples originating from 265 farms (poultry, pig, and cattle) were analysed as 100 pooled samples, each consisting of 25 g of faeces; no salmonella bacteria added. In parallel, three control samples, spiked with 300 cfu Salmonella Typhimurium DT1, 2800 cfu Salmonella Worthington, and 5000 cfu Salmonella Typhimurium DT40 respectively, were analysed.
