ELISA detection of PRRSV-specific IgA antibodies in reference standard samples. PRRSV-specific IgA in reference standard samples (kindly donated by prof. Zimmerman, College of Veterinary Medicine, Iowa State University) was measured with a modified PRRS X3 Ab Test (Idexx) as described by Kittawornrat et al. [12] that makes use of an HRP-conjugated goat-anti-pig IgA antibody (Bethyl Laboratories) PRRSV specific IgA in the reference samples was alternatively detected using the detection step of the IgA-specific IPMA, making use of biotinylated goat-anti-swine IgA antibodies (AbdSerotec) and Streptavidine-HRP.
