During the proof stage of this article, the first two sentences in the Figure 1 legend, which explain the use of the symbols in the figure, were erroneously omitted. They are:
The median of the incubation periods is indicated by the grey lines in the scatter plot. For the first study, the incubation periods of the milk donors that were not home-bred are displayed in orange dots; the incubation periods of the two lateral transmission controls that were mixed at a later stage than the other three are shown in blue diamonds.
