Maps of the NED owner and Stakeholder horse data at postcode area resolution. The legend represents horse density per 10 km2. Compared to the Stakeholder horse dataset, the NED owner dataset appears to have higher densities of horses in urban areas such as London. This supports previous views that owner location is not a good proxy measure for horse location in certain parts of the country. Apart from this, the distributions of horse location in the two datasets are very similar.
